As it is with so many things these days I’m simply over it. It’s as if people walk around looking for shit to be offended by. Wait, that’s exactly what they are doing.
In the past few years how many pieces of history have been removed in the South because of their “racist symbolism?” Would you say that racism declined dramatically in this country as a result? Me either.
The leadership at City Hall in Bloomington Minnesota once again this year showed they’ve got Trump size cojones and in honor of National Police Week (I know, hard to believe Biden didn’t strike a racist ass week like that away with a pen stroke) they boldly flew the thin blue line flag.
You will not be surprised that the woke mob and the NAACP (National Association for Advancing Communist Propaganda) went ape-shit ballistic.
Tahm Loyd, a member of the local “anti-racist coalition” explains to those of you who don’t understand that supporting the police makes you a racist bigot:
“If your constituents are telling you and the council that the flag is racist, offensive and openly hostile, why did you even consider flying it in the first place?” Loyd said at a news conference Thursday morning alongside community members and activists including Civil rights attorney Nekima Levy Armstrong, CAIR-MN Executive Director Jaylani Hussein and NAACP Minnesota President Angela Rose Myers.
Good work to those last four getting in on the photo-op.
The article continues on and explains to us ignorant folk that “some insurrectionists and white supremacist groups” have “co-opted” the flag. There’s that word we always talk about – “some.” So are you just going to start banning everything that any group of knuckleheads uses as their symbol?
The Proud Boys should adopt a rainbow pride flag and watch the left really melt the fuck down.
The Mayor, in an obviously stupid attempt to make some actual sense, explained thus:
The city has raised the flag over Civic Plaza for the past three years to commemorate National Police Week, and the police department requested it again this year in an “honorable” request, Busse said.
“I don’t believe for one second that there was a racist or threatening or insulting intent,” he said.
All of us with a brain in our head know that Mister Mayor, and we salute you for not caving to the idiocy of the left.
We need true leadership in this country. The current crop of politicians couldn’t agree how to travel down a “One Way” street.
