Biscuit of the Week!

Sitting down at the Alibi with Frank Gallagher this week I slapped him on the back and told him his days on disability were coming to an end. He nearly choked on his beer and asked “Why the hell is that?!”

“Good news, my friend, the Democratic party has introduced a bill to “recognize the duty of the Federal Government to create a federal job guarantee!”

“Bullshit,” he muttered. “No sir!” I exclaimed. “It’s true!” Frank chugged the remainder of his beer before motioning to Kevin to fill that shit back up.

Thank God the government is finally stepping up and GUARANTEEING a job for every person in the US! Brought to you buy this week’s winner of Biscuit of the Week – Ayanna Pressley! Read her completely idiotic legislation below if you feel like lowering your IQ some this week.

So gee, what all could possibly go wrong with that idea?

First and foremost the legislation calls for “dignified work.” What the fuck does that mean? Mike Rowe just fainted over in the corner. Who in the hell is going to judge that? Probably a blue ribbon commission of Democratic donors.

Second – if everyone is guaranteed a job … why would anyone make any effort at their government given job? I mean people in government jobs are already stereo-typically hard working first in class customer service personnel, right?

If you’re guaranteed a job can you be fired, or do they just move you over to another job doing some other form of dignified work? If I already have a job and don’t think it’s dignified enough do I get to move to a different job?

Third – please explain to me why Democrats continue to try and tell me that things are “rights” when they are clearly not? The holy trinity of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is focused solely on the equality of outcome when it should focus on the equality of opportunity. We must legislate you into (our definition of) happiness! I mean they must see it in the constitution somewhere to think this way right?

Lastly how the hell do you pay for this ridiculous idea? You already know we can’t. So why are you wasting our time and taxpayer dollars on your bullshit? I’ll tell you why.

Because you’re a biscuit.

  1. Wow! This legislation takes the cake. The entire working class would be a giant labor union. The problem with this solution is mind boggling. The fact the Democrats believe their is a need is another problem.

Also, “Dignified Work” can’t mean being a janitor or maid. No! Ditch digger, food harvester (a number are still hand picked), auto mechanic, or anything else which requires sweat. Lest we forget the military as well. Oh, this will fly like a deflated balloon. Yep. 🤦🏻‍♂️

    1. The scary part is the amount of ignorant people who vote for shit like this because they think it’s a great idea. It’s a lofty goal for us to have full employment (however you want to define that) but this is just pandering.

  2. This is some of the things I saw in the report:

The Labor Department report showed that 9.2% of African Americans and 8.6% of Hispanics were unemployed in January compared to 5.7% of Whites.
It calls for the federal government to create public jobs for adults seeking employment.

**SO IF THE NUMBERS SHOW ANYTHING, IT LOOKS AS IF THE DEMOGRAPHIC SHE IS LOOKING TO EMPLOY ARE NOT EVEN CURRENTLY SEEKING EMPLOYMENT, SO WHO WOULD THIS ACTUALLY BENEFIT?

She sees a federal guarantee as a way to help address other systemic inequalities that have kept minorities from full participation in the economy.

** MINORITIES KEEP THEMSELVES FROM FULLY PARTICIPATING BY NOT SEEKING EMPLOYMENT BASED ON THE NUMBERS ABOVE, NOT SYSTEMIC INEQUALITY. I UNDERSTAND THAT THERE ARE ISSUES IN OUR SYSTEM, BUT TO OVERCOME THEM EVERYONE HAS TO WORK HARD TO GET AN ADVANTAGE, EVEN US “PRIVILEGED” PEOPLE

    JUST MY 2 CENTS–
