I really struggled with the headline for this article, but I decided that one simple word really does sum up just how ridiculous these people are.

Meet Arshad Mohammed and Daphne Psaledakis. Yah I don’t know how to pronounce that either.

These two knuckleheads teamed up to pen an article I ran across today entitled “US tiptoes through sanctions minefield toward Iran nuclear deal.”

They kick it off with the usual problem: It’s all Trump’s fault:

As the United States searches for a path back to the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, it is tiptoeing through a minefield laid by former U.S. President Donald Trump.

A minefield huh.

What exactly could this “minefield” be one might ask. Well, here’s what they say it is:

The mines are Iran-related sanctions Trump imposed on more than 700 entities and people, according to a Reuters tally of U.S. Treasury actions, after he abandoned the nuclear deal and restored all the sanctions it had removed.

Among these, Trump blacklisted about two dozen institutions vital to Iran’s economy, including its central bank and national oil company, using U.S. laws designed to punish foreign actors for supporting terrorism or weapons proliferation.

In case you missed it, the Iran foreign minister just the other day flat admitted that they are giving weapons to Hamas. That would be “weapons proliferation.”

Now you can either take my word for it, or go here regarding the terror part:

Hmm, seems to me I see Iran on the list as a state sponsor of terror.

So they are upset that Trump used “U.S. laws designed to punish foreign actors for supporting terrorism or weapons proliferation” by using the law to punish Iran which qualifies as both. It’s not a minefield you dumbasses, it’s effective and brutal foreign policy, the only kind the Mullahs understand.

You can read this bit of idiocy if you want – and you probably should just so you can get a feel for just how idiotic these people are. They really believe that Iran can be dealt with in a softer and gentler manner – one where they will say “gee thanks for letting our economy get better, we promise we won’t continue developing uranium and chanting death to America.”

I’ve said this once I’ll say it again – I have no interest in inviting Donald Trump to dinner. He’s an asshole. I don’t care. The policies the administration put in place were effective on many levels. Seeing those dismantled is not doing anyone any good.

Touché, my friend. The current administration is a dumpster fire & they continue to pour gasoline on it.
