Biscuit of the Week

It seems like a non-celebrity winning last week really riled Hollywood up. They certainly stepped up their game in trying to get this week’s award, but in the end only one can win and it was lousy actress and failed gubernatorial candidate Cynthia Nixon who brings home the trophy!

Of course living in California and New York is pretty much a world where common sense means nothing so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that Ms. Nixon was recently upset over the fact that her local retailer was having to take steps to protect their inventory, tweeting the following:

Remember that in California it’s no longer a felony to steal as long as the value of the goods taken is less than $950. $951 and they’ll throw the book at you but, otherwise, meh.

I laughed particularly hard at this one because it reminded me of one of the greatest scenes ever in the history of the Simpsons. Bart has taken part time work tending bar at the social club where the local mafia members hang out. After having been asked to warehouse a truckload of stolen cigarettes in his bedroom for a while Bart begins to suspect his employers may be criminals and confronts the boss, Fat Tony:

Bart: “Are you guys crooks?”

Tony, putting his hand like a sympathetic father would on Bart’s shoulder: “Bart, if your family were starving, would it be ok to steal a loaf of bread to try and feed them?”

Bart: “I guess not.”

Tony: “Well, what if you had a very large family, would it be ok to steal a truckload of bread to feed them?”

Bart: “Well no.”

Tony: “And what if your family didn’t like bread? Let’s say, I dunno, they liked, cigarettes? Would it be wrong to steal that?”

Bart (smiling): “Hell no!”

Only in the world of an elite, white, ultra-liberal, privileged idiotic bitch would it be okay to say “hey, if you are desperate, why don’t you just steal it?”

If you think the Democratic policies that cause these behaviors aren’t driving changes that will further erode our nations large cities, look no further than San Francisco. Walgreens has closed 17 stores in the city over the past few years. More empty buildings! Perhaps that’s the city’s plan for dealing with their homeless problem. And man, if you think Bill DeBlasio is a dumbass, can you imagine if this crazy chick had been elected mayor of New York?

The comment section below this week’s biscuit’s tweet was of course pure gold:

I’m not sure about you but it does cost me some sleep at night knowing people that think like this are out there. God help us all.

You’re not the only one losing sleep.

Remember, only 10% of Germans were registered as members of the Nazi party. The rest were just sheep willing to follow.

  2. As Ron White says, “you can’t fix stupid”. That used to be a funny statement.
As a side note, now that open carry is pretty much a done deal in Texas, I am anxious to see how Ms. Nixon’s philosophy works there!
